Default ImageMatch Multi Pose Proofing Instructions

This requires that you have ImageMatch & RipLynx:

This tutorial describes how to use ImageMatch to create proofs using multiple poses/images.

Start with a matched ImageMatch job.
Note:
1. Be sure that your job has no tags
2. Be sure that every image has data in the field that is selected as the unique identifier in “Proof Setup” (Below)
3. Consistent cropping is key to making this work well

Configure the Proof Setup configurations. This will use data to match up the multiple images back to one another on your proof sheet.

• Data->Proof Sheets
• Select “Enable Proof Sheet Conversion”
• Select “Select None”
• Select a field from the “Fields to Match” box that will uniquely identify each subject, such as “Student ID” or “Record Number”.
• On the right side under “Proof Fields” click on the more button until there as many pose fields as you plan to use on your proof sheet. Pose 1=Image Name, Pose 2=Custom2, Pose 3=Custom3, etc. These are going to be the fields used in the template builder to populate the images on your proofs.

Creating your Proof Sheet Service (ProServices):
1. Open ProServices.
2. Select pl_proof.srv. This is a good guideline for a simple Proof Sheet Template.
3. Edit the pl_proofsheet.tem template. Take a look at the fields used for the Images.
4. Modify and rename the Template / Service to fit your needs.
5. Add your Proof Sheet Service to RipLynx!
6. In the package program, create a proof package with the only unit being the proof sheet. Make the “Map #” something such as P for proof.

To add the Proof Package to each student:
1. Go to Data> Replace Data
2. Leave the first field as “code” and the text to the right empty (if you have data in the code field, select a different field you aren’t using that contains no data)
3. In the second field, scroll down and select “Packages.”
4. Type a “P-1” in the text field to the right.
5. In the bottom list of selections, make sure you select the first item in the list. This will place a “P-1” in the packages field for every data record.

To Print:
1. Go to Data->Tagging->Tag pose
2. Select Pose 1 as the pose to tag. This tags the first image for each student.
3. Click on Print>Send Packages to Riplynx!
4. Click on File>Select Tagged Images (or Ctrl-T)
5. Click on Print
IMPORTANT: Make sure you use the same PUD file for both ImageMatch & RipLynx!...

Tip:

You may have different data that you want to print to relate to each image on your proof sheet. But, when you set up your proof sheet, although you have multiple images, there isn’t an obvious way to pull multiple data to match with the secondary images. Here is how you do that:

In your template, use this string: %Pose2.Record Number%

Replace “Pose2” with appropriate pose number and “Record Number” with the appropriate field name from ImageMatch. So for example, if you are trying to bring in data from the criteria field for your 3rd pose the string would look like this:

%Pose3.Criteria%

Place the string in the Static Text field for a text object or the Prefix field for a barcode object.
