These procedures will always work on a Pocket PC of any version up to Mobile 5.0. We do not have a solution for devices that are Mobile 6.0 and above.
The procedure listed here is not for the Palm OS. The pocket PC must have an external memory card, such as a CF or SD card. The pocket PC cannot have an external keyboard (such as found on phones) * Ignore the version number of the desktop SIS. Just always download and update the desktop SIS to this version: http://photolynx.com/modules.php?nam...p=getit&lid=71 * Verify that the user is not using a Pocket PC with anything higher the Mobile 5.0. If they are using 2002, 2003, or Version 5.0, always use this file to install on the pocket PC: http://www.photolynx.com/modules.php...p=getit&lid=70 1. Do a Hard Reset on the device (This will clear EVERYTHING off of the device), please advise the user that this will ERASE EVERYTHING from the device. For instructions on how to do a hard reset on that specific device ask the user for the model of the device and Google "Hard Reset" along with the device model. 2. Shut Down the Desktop SIS. Install the version listed above onto the desktop SIS. The file is called "sis.update.605.wm5.exe" 3. Be sure that the device is connected to the computer. Run the installer listed above. The file is called "Pocket.SIS.Setup.WM5.exe" At the end of the install, check the device, it should prompt them to choose OK on the device. 4. Run the desktop SIS. It is important that they do not attempt to run PSIS on the device at this time. Choose Tools->Sync with PSIS. Choose yes when it prompts for the default location. Choose yes to synch with Photos. After it is synced it is all done. Sometime the photos may not transfer. If that is the case, they can copy the photos to the SD or CF card manually. They must create a directory on the SD or CF card called "psisphotos" and then copy the images from their desktop SIS found in the c:/Program Files/SIS2K/Photos directory. This is best done by removing the SD or CF card from the device and using an external card reader. But, it can also be done (in a pinch) by exploring My Computer and locating the device and then the external memory card, while the device is plugged into the PC.
